Daily Poll 841: What’s your opinion of Nationalism?
The concept of forging a strong identity around your homeland starting becoming a concept in the late 18th century and developed throughout the 18th century with it peaking with the first world war. The state using nationalism to maintain social cohesion and to maintain their power over a geographical region makes sense. While I am anti-government; I think that nationalism is a net positive for humanity as it creates an environment where decentralization is far more possible than more archaic forms of the state.
