Daily Poll 216: How do you feel about abstinence?
I did a poll on premarital sex and the alternative to the tinder swiping lifestyle is abstinence until marriage. I was raised in a culture that ridiculed and derided abstinence as unrealistic and harmful to young people. While I do think it’s true to some extent I would say the increase of premarital sex and low marriage rates are a factor in the increasing rates of fatherlessness, abortion and STDs. Abstinence means one can avoid these problems but most young people today have no interest in traditionalism or have a different view of relationships all together. That is just how I see it.
