Daily Poll 226: How do you feel about circumcision?
Snip Snip. Circumcisions have been performed on men for generations. For religious, traditional and hygienic reasons. I was cicumcised as an infant as most are and I’d rather not be. If I ever had a son I wouldn’t circumsise him as I’m not religious and I don’t think there’s any medical benefits from doing so especially when modern showers exist to keep your junk clean. My parents had me circumcised as an infant for religious reasons. It’s a point of conflict now between us. I’m not a religious person & I had no say in what was done to me.
It’s an antiquated custom that has no practical use today other than the dulling of sensation, so really it’s no different than female circumcision & should be considered as brutal a practice.
I did not put my son through the trauma of having part of his natural body removed, should he decide he wants it done as an adult, it’ll be his choice to make.
