Daily Poll 107: Do you read novels?
I read quite a few novels when I was younger but I’ve abandoned books for video games, comics and youtube videos nowadays. The market for novels are huge and even with other options it remains strong. Brandon Sanderson has a 23 million dollar kickstarter selling his novels. I am writing a novel and so I’d like to know what you guys think about the medium and the market.

I like to read. I pretty much partake in any medium that tells stories. I’ve mostly been reading old classics lately (I recently finished Moby Dick for the first time). With the way our culture has been going with story telling, I’ve been trying my hand at developing my own stories too. I have plenty of ideas, but I have no clue on how to get them started.

I’d like to read more. I buy books and they just sit on the shelf. Mostly internet articles or forums.

I used to read a tremendous amount when I was younger. I moved to video games & TV shows for a while, comics on & off for years.
I’ve gotten back into it though, especially with the lack of quality from nearly every IP I loved growing up.
I feel like it gives the mind more of a workout than just sitting and watching a story unfold. I’m glad I’ve gotten back into it & am looking forward to finding new authors to enjoy.
