Daily Poll 131: How do you view transgenderism?
People don’t like it when you switch teams in the middle of the game but it happens all the time. The last poll was on the Ls, Gs and Bs, so now it’s time for the Ts. Transgenderism has a lot of strong feelings associated with it and those have come to the forefront with Lia Thomas’ wins in Women’s Swimming. I don’t think it’s inherently immoral and there are people who are best off in life living as the opposite gender. Forcing it on kids is another thing entirely. Transgenderism is a phenomenon that occurs more often in biological males from what I’ve seen. I do think a lot of it comes from mothers who wanted their sons to be daughters but that’s just speculation. What do you guys think? Also don’t forget to vote for the poll and comment below!

I will always be an advocate for people doing what they want once they’re adults. I don’t really think it benefits anyone to live “their truth” instead of “the truth”, but then it becomes a philosophical argument and that’s not what is really being discussed here.

It’s being glorified instead of treated as the mental disorder that it is.
Validating their delusion is no different than allowing a schizophrenic to believe that they’re hallucinatory friend is real.

I don’t understand it. I do believe people can actually think they are someone else inside the wrong body and it’s their choice what they want to be called to make themselves feel good. Whether it comes from child abuse from having single parents, or grooming in the schools, I do believe it’s a mental illness. I think everyone has illnesses and not acknowledging it doesn’t make it go away.
