Daily Poll 132: Will the Florida GOP retaliate against Disney?
The Reedy Creek Improvement District is what allows Disney World to operate its own land like a government. Disney could build a nuclear plant in Magic Kingdom if they felt like it. It’s pretty interesting and having been to Disney World several times it does make sense since the park has basically everything a small town would. The district could come to an end and Disney World would be part of Orange County if the Florida GOP follow through on their statements saying that they should do that in response to Disney’s condemnation of Florida’s anti grooming bill. I have no faith in politicians doing anything meaningful but Desantis has been pretty constant so I’m not willing to say it’s entirely out of the realm of possibility. What about you guys? I’ve been very impressed with Florida lately, Arizona is making good moves as well with requiring ID to vote and other important ideas.
