I have been writing this one story since my freshman year, but I’ve never gotten around to finishing it. After I was introduced to Rippa, I got more interested in comics, to the point that my close friend and I are working on making our own comic book universe, seeing that Marvel and DC are self-destructing. Apart from that, there’s several other stories that I’m conceptualizing and writing down notes for. All I need now is to sit my ass down and really get to writing this stuff to make them a reality.

I wish I was creative artistically but I love art of all forms. I admire it so much probably because I can’t really do it. I use to play music and I had some solid chops on beat making but the creativity spark was just never there. I was way more into football for a long time. That took up most of the time I had. Any spare time was usually wasted getting drunk LOL. But now I just do my podcast thing, trade crypto and garden.

I have had several ideas for years. I got a huge surge of brainstorming during the pandemic. My biggest issue is I don’t know where to start in getting my content out there.

I don’t know how much this really counts, but being a car enthusiast, I spend a lot of time dreaming up different ideas. Both my truck and my car are heavily modified and uniquely mine. If you know what you’re looking at, my ideas are all over both vehicles. Most people don’t notice them though, even in the car community.

On the idea of creativity, I don’t consider myself to be in the “idea guy” category… my strengths are much more in the “get shit done guy” category, so I’d say I’m a strong supporter for the creatives. I’m not looking to do something new, more like do something not new, but do it with a very high level of excellence. I try to excel in the fundamentals, which provides great help and support for the creatives.

Good question. I sort of asked the same thing in the New Culture thread. Currently I’m putting out a story, Fiasco of Adventures, that I wrote during the lockdowns since I had so much time on my hands.

I put it out on substack here: https://victorjames.substack.com/p/fiasco-of-adventures-chapter-1-part?r=19vr6n&s=w&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

And just found out about this place called webnovel that I posted it to as well, but I just can’t get anyone to read the dang thing there lol: https://www.webnovel.com/book/fiasco-of-adventures_22676548205710705

It won’t change the world, but I think everyone in this thread should finish their work. The elite are bending over backward to give up their crowns, and the time is ripe to take it from them.

I’ve been writing since I was a kid, always dreamed of doing it professionally but I let people talk me out of it.

In recent years I’ve decided to make a legitimate go of it & am currently working on 3 seperate & distinct projects.

1 of them is a bit ambitious & I’d like to see it evolve into a multimedia project but right now I’m focusing on seeing something through to publication, likely one of the two side projects, after that I’ll see where to go from there.
