Daily Poll 842: What’s your opinion of Isolationism?
The desire to be left alone is something that many people feel. It’s also a political philosophy that many swear by. America was an extremely isolationist country with the legacy of George Washington and the Monroe doctrine reaffirming that. America did abandon isolationism starting with the Spanish-American war and truly doing so in the aftermath of World War 2. I think Isolationism is great and much more in line with a voluntarist society than the Empire building the US is engaged in now.
