Daily Poll 883: Is Blocking Roads an Effective Form of Protest?
In our polarized society there’s no shortage of things to protest. While civil disobedience has been a thing for decades; The internet age has made it more enticing and many protesters feel entitled to practice it with no consequences. Blocking roads is something many climate change activists have done along with some Palestine protestors as well. The average person views it as an extreme nuisance rather than getting whatever message across. I think it most likely can even be considered an act of aggression as blocking one’s means of travel can be life-threating depending on the circumstances. Those are just my thoughts. What about you?
