I’ve always been pro-choice, but never been a fanatic about it. I believe it’s up to individuals especially if they are put in a situation such as rape or just made a mistake when they were too young to care for a child. I don’t necessarily agree with it being used as a form of birth control, like people having an “oops” moment way too often. I do understand the pro-life argument though but still ultimately think it’s up to the individual. Like you, I won’t be protesting and giving money to either side, lol.

Abortion never should have progressed beyond a conversation someone has with their doctor. There are some cases where I think it’s valid to at least consider it. The abortion “debate” is just a symptom of the political discourse today. Both sides have progressively escalated their positions in response to each other and seem to revel in pissing each other off. It’s also weird how it seems to follow party lines so cleanly. It’s just a debate about something the government never should have been involved with that they can point to when they run out of reasons why the other guys are bad.

Pro choice, but with limited abortions. I lived in Japan a while and I believe they have a limit of 2 abortions. You should see the fear in a Japanese woman’s eyes when their period is late and they’ve run out of abortions.

Pro choice with no limits has led to some communities treating abortion like a contraceptive akin to a condom or a birth control pill, when it’s not even in the same league.

Also, I don’t think tax payers should saddle the burden for them. If someone can’t afford an abortion then put them on a payment plan, garnish their benefits.

I don’t consider myself “pro-life” as there are many that deserve to be removed from existence. Rather, I am anti-infanticide.

I believe that life begins at conception and those that created that life are responsible for it, yes that means both parties.

There are many preemptive methods for avoiding pregnancy and if you believe in liberty, self-ownership and the non-aggression principle then I don’t see how someone can justify murdering a baby to avoid responsibility.

Unless the mothers life is in danger, I can’t see a justifiable reason for getting one.

    That’s just me though.

Well said. The pols thinking basically boils down to: Creating voting blocks to exploit > The actual health concerns of women and children.
